1928 Price List for repairs to a Model T - on a penny postcard, no less. Junk mail from the Roaring Twenties?

I love this: "For a labor charge of $20 to $25.00 you can have your motor and transmission completely overhauled."

I just called up Infiniti's price list for just the engine work: 27.6 hours. At $110 per, we're talking $3000. Of course, that's a six-cylinder car. :)

MY Dad worked at the local garage i the 30's. He said a man came and asked the boss what an over haul would cost. Roy quoted him $10. The man took Dad to th side and asked if he would take the car home and do it for less. Dad told him he wouldn't as he didn't think that was right or the way to treat the man who was paying him a whole $1 a day.

Different times in more ways than one!
