Independence Day

I'm less than inspired today, but I am enjoying our national holiday. I expect the very near future will involve fire and meat.

Prickly City is "new" in the comics timeline. Scott Stantis pens a more or less libertarian point of view in a whimsical manner. Carmen is a little world weary conservative, and Winslow is a liberal coyote pup with wide eyed idealism. It's one of my daily reads. Much better than, oh, say Ted Rall!

Yes, it's a three day weekend. I'll be going in tomorrow - got things to do that need done. For today, I'm reflecting on how lucky we all are to live here in the good ol' U S of A. We stand on the shoulders of giants, and all political wrangling aside, we should recognize and remember that fact.
