No Wireless

At the moment, I am without wireless. I had to send my sister to WallyWorld to get an AOL dialup disk just to get on. I'm suffering here.

Actually, let me back up. Thursday, I went in to one of the local hospitals for some kidney stone work - lithotripsy. Zap them thar stones with sound waves, and get out that day (outpatient "surgery"). Been there done that everything fine.

Except my EKG readings made 'em nervous. They quit and woke me up. A decision had not been made what was to happen to me. My cardiologist in Wichita was consulted. "Get him here" was the answer. So, I took an air ambulance to Wichita. One heart catheterization later, it seems I have one completely blocked artery and two at ninety percent. I'm scheduled for a triple bypass Monday. I've got three arterial stents installed from some years back, but the minimal efforts I've made in my diet have - well, the chickens have come home to roost, as it were. I imagine the cigarette I had before entering the hospital in Garden City was my last.

They do have a wired system available for patients here, but my current room doesn't have a CAT5 jack. I'm surviving the lack of cigarettes, and the bland food, but this dialup is about to kill me. How in the hell did we survive before broadband??????

WOW! I'm so sorry. I hope all turns out well and they give you one of those nice teddy bear pillows to hug on your chest. (They gave one to my grandpop when he had his by-pass surgery.)

I'll be praying for an excellent recovery.

Remember when dial-up was the ultimate? Heh!

Get well soon!

Get well. If you survive the winter, you'll be good for at least anther year. Make sure they don't use any of those cheap Chinese stents! Will mention your lack of internet service to the Creator.

I am so sorry you are suffering with the stones. My prayers and best wishes to you for your surgery Monday. I am glad they stopped the procedure and checked for blockages. If they do give you a teddy bear, name it Mohammed, okay?

I just realized that your surgery was today, not next Monday, right? We'll be checking for your posts about the experience, and thinking of you.

Hey, Jeffro - how are you feeling today? I got online hoping to see a new post saying you'd returned to the Poor Farm today. No such luck. Hope you did get sprung and are back in a comfy chair getting loads better. Will check in there tomorrow. Take care! Sleep well! Love, Cousin Amy
