I'm certainly no "birder." I enjoy watching hawks soar and hunt, but I'm not much into using binoculars and.trying to classify what I see. I just try to enjoy the majesty and power of the more predatory birds.
I was highly impressed with a picture I found on Facebook - it shows the freedom and fire behind a falcon perched in a tree. Pic is below the fold if you are so inclined.
I call this "Falcon in a Tree."
I am thumbing through my field guides but I just can't find it. lol
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you're happy. I had to use pliers to remove the hook.
ReplyDeleteWell, I LOL'ed. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was Jeffs last post. He passed on the morning of May 5th, 2014.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, Jeffro. Never met ya in person, but you were still my friend.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace, my friend. The world lost a great soul.
ReplyDeleteAw, Jeffro! You will be missed. He came through Indy not all that long ago, and Tam and I had dinner with him.
ReplyDeleteThe world has lost a good one....so sorry for family and friends.

ReplyDeleteHeard the news via Og.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed shooting with him at a DuToit meet n' shoot up in D/FW some years back. Enjoyed a good lunch and conversation, afterwards, too.
He was a damn good man, and will be missed.

Sad news, never had the privilege of meeting him in meat space. May he rest in peace now.
ReplyDeleteI am so-so sorry. :-( He had a serious run of bad luck but bore his cross as best able - and and he came from the heartland near where my own relatives scrabbled and scratched out a living. Rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteWhat! Can't believe it.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jeffro.
Havers.
ReplyDeleteRequiescat in pace, Jeffro.
Crud.
God Bless you, my friend, and may you Rest In Peace.
ReplyDeleteI've never met Jeffro and, while I've been expecting this, I'm still sad. He had a great talent for writing and told some wonderful stories on this blog.
ReplyDeleteJust a lurker here, but loved your wit, Jeffro. So so sorry. You will be missed.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I got a chance to meet him, even if it was through the blogging world! We will be thinking of you, Jeffro!

I guess I should have looked at the commments sooner, so sad to see Jeffro passed away, I kind of suspected so. So sad.
