Bird Watching

I'm certainly no "birder." I enjoy watching hawks soar and hunt, but I'm not much into using binoculars and.trying to classify what I see. I just try to enjoy the majesty and power of the more predatory birds.

I was highly impressed with a picture I found on Facebook - it shows the freedom and fire behind a falcon perched in a tree. Pic is below the fold if you are so inclined.

I call this "Falcon in a Tree."

  9. Heard the news via Og.

I enjoyed shooting with him at a DuToit meet n' shoot up in D/FW some years back. Enjoyed a good lunch and conversation, afterwards, too.

He was a damn good man, and will be missed.

  11. I am so-so sorry. :-( He had a serious run of bad luck but bore his cross as best able - and and he came from the heartland near where my own relatives scrabbled and scratched out a living. Rest in peace.
