Dammit! I'm not sure about courts in NYC, but if he does sue, he'd more than likely use small claims. If he didn't do the work and you fired him, well, good luck to him I'd say. But I'm not sure about what kind of judge you'd run into there....
yep, that's the problem. He came to the jobsite in my absence, while construction crew was working - including the new electrician, took pictures of everything and VIDEO, took his stuff and did NOT return my keys. Now I have to go change locks, on top of everything!
he sent me another epistle, saying his video will prove he completed the job -but it was new electrician who did.
